Instructions for Course Dates and PACE:

1) A PACE Listing Application is needed for each instance of a course.  For example:

  • If a PACE Provider wants to list two instances of the same multi-day course, such as one instance from March 20 to March 23 and another instance from June 20 to 23, then they should submit two PACE Listing Applications.
  • If a PACE Provider wants to list one instance of a multi-day course that occurs from March 20, 2023 to March 23, 2023 then they should submit one PACE Listing Application and enter "March 20, 2023 to March 23, 2023" in the date field.

2) If the course instance is ONLY Non-Live (e.g., On-Demand, pre-recorded, printed), then enter the PACE cycle (e.g. 2022-2023) you want it approved for.  For example:

  • If you want a Non-Live course instance to be listed for the 2022-2023 PACE cycle, then enter "2022-2023".

3) An approved PACE course instance will be listed on the NAMA website only for the duration of the PACE cycle it is approved for.
Please be aware of the following:

  • If you are a Professional Member PACE Provider, then you must be a faculty member of this course instance.
  • If you are an Organizational Member PACE Provider, then you do not need to be a faculty member of this course instance.
  • We refrain from using the pre-nominal letter "Dr" on our website, because it is potentially ambiguous.  Therefore, please use post-nominal titles (e.g., A.D., M.D., N.D., Ph.D., etc.) instead of Dr. For example...
    • USE = FirstName LastName, A.D., M.D., N.D., Ph.D, etc.
    • AVOID = Dr. FirstName LastName
  • List the names of all faculty members of this course instance, each individual on their own line for swift processing.  For example only...

...DO this...
FirstName LastName
FirstName LastName
FirstName LastName

...NOT this...
FirstName LastName, FirstName LastName; FirstName LastName...

In order to ensure that potential attendees can earn credit for any/all PACE Approved Listings, NAMA will only approve PACE Listing Applications that confirm the provisioning of a letter/certificate of completion/attendance to attendees. If a PACE Provider does not agree to provide a letter/certificate of completion/attendance to their attendees, then the PACE Listing Application will not be approved.  For your convenience, click here to download a template certificate you may use: The use of our template is optional and you may choose to design your own certificate, but, if you do design your own, be sure to include the following items on the certificate:

  • The # of credits the student has earned
  • The date the student completed the course
  • The name of the student
  • The name of the PACE Provider
  • The name(s) of the presenter(s)
  • Please explain how you will assess your students prior to granting their certificate of completion. For example, in order to earn their certificate of completion, will they need to take and pass a quiz/test, graded homework, an essay, exit interview, research project, etc.
  • Please do NOT enter a URL/Link into the following field.  Only written explanations are accepted.

You may offer CE at your own venue (In-Person or On-Line) and/or via NAMA’s on-line PACE platform (To be developed). Copyright remains with the presenter and the materials or programs may be offered by the presenter in other situations without any permission by NAMA, where no PACE credits will be offered.   Financial arrangements for programs offered on NAMA’s online platform will be determined based on the program and how it is offered. Please choose your course delivery method.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Are you teaching a competency above your level?
If you are a NAMA Professional Member and you selected a competency that is above your level of NAMA Professional Membership, then please explain how/why you are qualified to teach the upper-level competency.
For example, imagine you are an AP member and you checked the box for an AD-level competency:  If someone were to ask what qualifies you, an AP, to teach that AD-level competency, then what would you tell them?...We need a clear, detailed, and precise answer to that question (i.e., list and explain the pertinent courses you completed as a student).

In the following 3 fields, enter the total hours of coursework attributed to them:

  • Total TIA Hours of Coursework
  • Total TIW Hours of Coursework
  • Total Hours of Coursework

One PACE credit is equal to one contact hour of continuing education: One contact hour is equal to 50 minutes of class time and 10 minutes of break.

The Total Hours of Coursework should be equal to the sum of Total TIA Hours of Coursework and Total TIW Hours of Coursework.  For example, if a course is composed of 8 hours of TIA coursework and 2 hours of TIW coursework, then the Total Hours of Coursework will be 10 hours.  In other words:

  • Total TIA Hours of Coursework = 8
  • Total TIW Hours of Coursework = 2
  • Total Hours of Coursework = 10

In order to help NAMA staff calculate the correct number of credits to assign to your course and efficiently process your application, please include the hours of coursework in your syllabus.

Please attach the syllabus for this course.

  • The syllabus must be in any of the following file formats: DOC, DOCX, PDF.
  • The syllabus must include all of the following items:
    • Date(s)
