Step-by-Step AP Exam Application Process

STEP 1: For NAMA recognized programs download this NAMACB Transcript Release Form and complete page 1.

STEP 2:There are two parts to this step:

a. Send a copy of the completed NAMACB Transcript Release Form (either for recognized or non-recognized programs) to your school to complete page 2.
b. Your school needs to complete page 2 of the NAMACB Transcript Release Form and submit the form to the NAMACB via the link provided in the form along with a copy of your transcript.

STEP 3: Complete and submit the NAMACB AP Exam Application below and pay the subsequent $75 non-refundable application fee. Graduates of a non-recognized program will incur an additional $125 non-refundable administration fee.

STEP 4: The NAMACB will review your AP Exam Application once the official transcripts are received from your school.  When the application is approved (i.e., deemed qualified to sit for the exam), you will receive instructions to register & pay the remaining $375 of the total $450 exam registration fee.

STEP 5: Once you pay the remaining exam registration fee of $375, NAMACB will e-mail instructions to schedule your exam location (onsite or online), date, and time.

STEP 6: Take the exam! You have 1 year from your application date to complete the exam or it will be nullified.

STEP 7: The NAMACB will e-mail your test results within 20 business days (approximately 4 weeks) along with an invitation to become a NAMA Professional Member at the Ayurvedic Practitioner (AP) level. Currently, NAMA offers $100 off your first year of Professional Membership dues. Your first year dues would be $85. Thereafter, AP dues are $185. If you happen to not pass the exam, instructions will be sent on how to retake the exam at a 40% registration discount. You will not have to reapply within 3 years.

If you pass the exam, then you will receive an email with instructions to maintain your NAMACB Certification which is done by completing PACE credits. For more information about Maintaining NAMACB Certification, please read the respective section in the NAMACB Candidate Handbook
